Well, I've finally finished the assignment so I thought I would post it to share with you guys.

I have always been fascinated by old Victorian damask floral wallpaper patterns, so when we were tasked to create a feature wall for a boutique cafe, I immediately wanted to incorporate it somehow. I also wanted to contemporise it and give it a grunge edge. I'm really happy with the final result and the mockup. I think if I had more time I would have made an actual stencil and used real spray paint to give a more genuine effect, but I'm happy with the digital creation.

Coffee HQ Sustainability Assignment

Hi, just a quick update with an assignment I've just finished.

The brief was to create a promotional poster for Coffee HQ on campus, they want to reduce waste as part of reducing their carbon footprint, so are offering 20% off the price of coffee purchases if you supply your own mug. The challenge was to match their existing branding as closely as possible while putting your own spin on the theme.

I've matched the colors from their official website, and redrawn the logo to 300dpi. Also, wanting to capture the fun and frivolity of their existing branding, I made a new character for the mug. The leaves in the background are meant to reinforce the 'green' message Coffee HQ are sending.

Green is the new Black

A quick update, this is a research assignment I've just finished for uni. One artist I came across who has some amazing pieces is New Zealander Roseanne Jones.
